Language Background Questionnaires
In an attempt to fully capture the bilingual experience , our lab has created a Language Background Questionnaire (LBQ). Our LBQ gathers insightful and in-depth information for the all types of bilingual speakers (e.g., simultaneous, early/late L2 speakers, etc.), by gathering information on a number of variables, such as Age of Acquisition (AoA), Manner of Acquisition (MoA), and self-rated proficiency.
The LBQ is available in two versions, a short version, as well as an extended version, which provides more specific questions. If you would like to use the LBQ, you can download the English and French versions below.
